December 18

We went to the pond this morning.  We checked in on our Nature and looked for evidence of human impacts.  In gym we had a special visitor, we had a professional Lacrosse coach come and teach us today.   Reminders: Tomorrow is Pajama Day and you may also bring a stuffy  Thursday is a half day - Happy Winter Break! December 17

Today we finished our brochures and handed them in.  We made winter cards for the Canadian Mental Health Association that will be handed out over the holidays.  We did a social project with Mrs. King's class and made the map of Canada out of pretzels.   Reminders: We are going to the pond tomorrow morning - be prepared. Lacrosse is tomorrow  Thursday is a half day  Thursday is PJ day  Food Bank and Mental Health donations are still being accepted

December 13

We shared our Grasslands voice projects this morning.  Everyone did a great job and took a risk to share their project!  We did Thank You Friday and Friday Journals.   Reminders: Memorize basic facts  Next Thursday is a half day, wear PJs. December 12

Today two people presented their voice projects.  We worked on our National Park brochures.  We played a multiplication math game - you had to make squares with the products from two dice.   Reminders: Bring back Friday Journals 

December 9

Today we delivered our letters to Ms. Tourigny and Ms. Lambrinoudis.  We did math - we learned a multiplication strategy called the box method.  We worked on our Social Studies voice projects.   Reminders: Food Bank donations are being accepted Donations for Canadian Mental Health society Memorize Basic Facts 

December 4

Today we continued our Grasslands voice projects.  We did outside gym - it was chilly!  We did a math problem and did some algebra.  We are writing some persuasive letters in literacy.   Reminders:  Tomorrow is conferences and Friday am  Friday is no school because of conferences  Thursday is a half day  Book Fair is open during conferences  Food Bank Drive and Items for Canadian Mental Health Association Please return Friday Journals 

December 3

We finished our articles today.  We did True or False Tuesday in math and solved some picture puzzles.  We typed paragraphs on the computers about Grassland animals and plants.  We continued working on our Social Studies projects.   Reminders:  Conferences are Thursday evening and Friday morning  Thursday is a half day and Friday is a no school day Book Fair purchasing begins tomorrow Outside Gym - be prepared for the weather 

December 2

Today we finished our plans for our voice project, "Becoming a Voice for the Grasslands".  We worked with patterns in Make it Monday.  We read an article.  We did Literature Circles.  Reminders:  Thursday is a half day, no school on Friday.   Book Fair this week.  Parent Teacher Conferences are Thursday evening and Friday morning. Book online.  Food Bank Donations and Mental Health Donations Bridlewood School will be collecting items for those who are in need to get through the cold winter. This initiative is in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s (CHMA) work to help people in the Calgary community. We will be starting our collection of donations at Bridlewood School starting December 5th at Parent- teacher interviews and will collect items until Dec. 19th.
